Guess who found a machete?....He tells he climbed a coconut tree ( wonder what his tummy looked like)TJ and a few of his fellow missionaries. I think the Elder standing next to him is his companion Elder Marani from Tahiti ( pray for him :o) he does have to live with TJ !
Zone conference - this means all the missionaries met with the Mission President from Fiji - President and Siter Ostler. The older couple on the ens are the Mautz' see the link above to their blog. They are the assistants to President Ostler and have to make sure all the missionaries are....being....responsible :o)
TJ is temporarily serving as District leader and has his first big meeting on Tuesday....he is nervous so please keep him in your prayers.
Here is an excerpt from his latest email home:
other night it was a musical talent show/ kareoke? thing. It was pretty cool
People we are teaching our progressing investigator is the grandson of the 2nd
consulor in the branch presidency so its pretty good. We have another
investigator with a baptismal date. He's right on however, he is supposedly moving
to another branch right before the baptismal date the 18th of oct...."
Work is slow for them, but he sounds good.

Other than that the week has been ok. The Releif society had a fireside the other night it was a musical talent show/ kareoke? thing. It was pretty cool

Thanks for including us! It is wonderful to hear that his companion only speaks french and Tahitian, that will hopefully help with pronunciation, which was so hard for me when I had to take French in College, (ok I admit it was French for Opera Singers-but still it was one of my hardest classes, besides tap) Tell TJ I will fly to Fiji/New Caledonia and kick his butt if he is baptizing younger youth! since that was what came to mind about him teaching the relative of the branch presidency, so hopefully he is a young adult.
TJ- my CTR primary class think you are a Missionary Hero! and hope you collect a lot of treasures for your CTR box. teaching the 7yr olds and preparing them for 8! and baptism has been an awesome responsibility, as Davis and I try to maximize every minute of each lesson, as we prepare our class for baptism, and here I have had 3 almost years with my class, and when you meet a friend/relative/neighbor etc of a member, you have a few weeks to teach them everything! We have from the beginning referred to the gift of the Holy Ghost as a Treasure, as well as many other gospel principles and stories, as they fill thier CTR Treasure boxes with their treasures of the gospel. They think you are a Hero, because you have to teach in French, we all only know Merci and Bonjour, Elizabeth signed up for French at school and starts next week! We are all so proud of you and your commitment to the gospel, your testimony of the Church and of Jesus Christ and that you have taken the path of opportunity to share your testimony, and IN FRENCH, to the South Pacific. That is why my 13 CTR's call you a Missionary Hero, as you share your CTR treasures with those you meet and teach. We love you! and Elizabeth prays for you every night to help you with your missionary work and to speak french, I think you are jer inspiration for her desire to take French at school, in 2nd grade!! Stay safe Choose the Right, we love you, Nicole Davis and Elizabeth
